Halloween rob zombie rapidshare

I get that Halloween was never a deep character study. People want to see Michael Myers stalking and slashing away. However, that formula gets extremely tiresome. Other than the fact that the original Halloween sequels were just plain bad, audiences were growing tired of seeing the same beats in the franchise over and over again.

The actors pull out a solid performance once Myers goes back on his murderous rampage, but it pales in comparison to stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Pleasence. I've been a filmmaker for nearly ten years with my recent accolades being a finalist in the Oaxaca Film Festival and Emerging Screenplay Finalist. Now most people will recognize that this picture will never level with Carpenter's classic, but Zombie slots in lots of extra blood and some pretty scary sequences none the less.

This picture looks a lot more at Myers back story which doesn't detract much from the film, but adds little extra. I found it to be an admirable idea, but sadly one that only slows the film down and actually makes the killer a lot less scary.

The visual aspect of the film is strong, creepy visuals are present in strong numbers, but personally I wasn't as hooked by this aspect of the film as I was by last years The Omen remake. The performances are pretty good, most of the teens aren't top annoying and several people are developed in such a way that the audience cares about them over time.

Without the doomsayer of the old Dr. Loomis warning the good residents of Haddonfield about the existential threat to their safety, the film lacks a more conventional villain.

Malcolm McDowell is adept at playing aggressive sociopaths, so his take on the character is a perfect fit. Loomis vying with the legend of Michael Myers for the spotlight. Michael tearing through every vestige of her old life makes that latter half impossible.
