By enrolling in one of two cohort programs, you can also gain specialized skills for teaching in particularly high-need settings, such as internationally diverse classrooms and those in under-resourced urban communities.

Become a Certified Teacher Earn full pay and benefits as you work toward becoming a certified teacher this year with the most effective alternative route provider in the nation. All other graduates from four-year accredited institutions who wish to obtain initial teacher certification in Michigan must complete all requirements in their chosen state-approved Western Michigan University undergraduate teacher certification program.
